I have both of these in the red ( amber) and the green (grey) in prescription. I have dk brown eyes and the grey just makes my iris look a lot bigger, kinda wierd if you see the red ( amber) just puts a red circle on the outline of my dark iris, this look kinda scary and people have noticed. I usually wear them when i am in the Caribbean on vacation on the beach. its like wearing sunglasses basically. The grey is just like any designer gray lenses and the red is like wearing those amber lenses that no one really wears like those cheap blublockers. the advantage is that i don't get sunlass tan lines on my temple or around my eyes or those squinting tans. not to mention when you go in the water or fishing or jet skiing they are the best. The amber is really weird if you wear those they just alter colors too much and cant distinguish greens from blues and i recommend not going shopping or to an outdoor mall or even look at jewelry as i once did while on vacation. I found myself moving the lens on my eye so i could see the colors of things. the other things is that they are a thicker lens as apposed to disposbles and your eyes do get tired wearing them, I would say 8 hours ok, but no longer than that. and cary a case when you need to remove them on the go.

There are 2 colors, the red, and the green. The green ones will make your eye look black once it's on. The enhancements from these contacts are worth the money, if you don't already need correction. However, they did not sell well where I worked. The reason: the contacts are polorized so they will not work under a pair of sunglasses which many athletes are already wearing. The ideal situation (which we are YEARS away from) is to create a clear, polarized contact lens that is available for spherical and astimgmatism correction. And yes, the unattractivness may be a key in the lack of sales. They are "scary." Hope my insight helps!

I'd just thought I'd give a little update on these lenses.

While I appreciate that the technology of 'contrast enhancement' will be of benefit to some people, I can't help but think that if they were to provide a distinct advantage that more people at the top of their sports would be wearing them.

For instance, why does Tiger Woods not wear them? or Roger Federer?

As far as lens technology goes, Nike Maxsight would be suitable for 8 hours wear. This means that existing contact lens wearers would often be having to remove their own lenses and insert these for the duration of their sport.. and vice/versa afterwards. Even if they were suitable for longer, would you want a red/grey lens in your eyes all day?

Perhaps, this inconvenience is why they haven't been more successful.

I feel there may be more from this technology in the future but these lenses are perhaps not the answer.

If anyone has had experience with these lenses, feel free to leave a comment.

Thanks
