Pitch Plan phase 1 – Iodine Park

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Yesterday morning I did 12 laps of

Pitch Plan

coming in at just under 2.5 miles in 26 minutes.

This took place at Iodine Park, Pumpherston at 6am. Iodine Park is named so, because under a thin layer of soil is nothing but shale that traditionally incited injuries to the extent that Iodine had to be used as an antiseptic. Iodine stings on application.

This practice shall continue tomorrow.

GNR 2008

Sunday, June 10th, 2007

I’m going to do the Great North Run in September 2008.

I’ve already enlisted a couple of work colleagues to join me in my quest.

The idea is to get a bit fitter between now and then, raise some money for a worthwhile charity (to be decided amongst the alconway.com participants) and have an almighty piss-up on the night of the run (as Newcastle-Upon-Tyne will undoubtedly be jumping with runners).

There’s a post on the forums for those who’re up for it to sign up to if they wish to participate/ask questions.

Go on, I dare you.

Trainers

Well, here they are. My new trainers.

Possessed, I ventured to the gym to get them worn in and won myself a second blister. This time, on my left heel.

52DC

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

The 52 Day Challenge starts tomorrow and lasts until July 20th. It’s one of the most powerful weight loss tools I’ve come across. Over the next 52 days I’ll be sweating my guts out 6 days a week and posting over at the Men’s Health forum linked above.

I’ve completed one of these before and felt fantastic for it, I’ve also dropped out twice since. I’m determined to finish this one with some crackin’ numbers. I’ve allowed myself some slack for my Birthday and T in the Park if that happens.

I’ll be weighing in on the first of the month as usual and I’ll be posting my progress at halfway and full time on this site, as well as some other Health related stuff that tickles my fancy along the way.

Bring it on! [monthen]
